Conference Site

The 2007 International Conference on Preconditioning Techniques for Large Sparse Matrix Problems in Scientific and Industrial Applications will be held at the International Conference Center of the Météo-France Campus on July 9-12, 2007. The Météo-France Toulouse site is a campus area named Météopole, located within Toulouse, in the western part, circa 7 km away from Toulouse downtown. CERFACS is located on this campus. How to come to Météopole / CERFACS
Coming from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport

The most convenient is to use a taxi. Travel duration: about 10 minutes. Should cost around 20 EUR.

A shuttle to the town center leaves the airport every 20 minutes on week-days, from 05:20 to 21:00.
• Stop at "Jean-Jaurès",
• Take the Métro (subway) towards "Basso-Cambo" (South),
• Stop at the end station "Basso-Cambo",
• Take bus number 8 towards "Lycée Polyvalent" and stop at "Météorologie".

Again, the same ticket covers both subway and bus trips. Travel duration: about 30 minutes.

Coming to Toulouse by Car...

On the highway from Paris/Bordeaux (West):

• Take the western ring highway towards "Foix/Tarbes" ,
• Take Exit 27 "La Cépière Cugnaux" ,
• Follow the "Cugnaux" direction, then the "Les Pradettes" direction, then the "Météo-Cerfacs" direction.

On the highway from Montpellier (East)

• Take the western ring highway towards "Auch/Aéroport de Blagnac " ,
• La Cépière Cugnaux ,
• Follow the "Tournefeuille" direction, then the "Les Pradettes" direction, then the "Météo-Cerfacs" direction.

From Toulouse city to Météopole (Météo France Conference Centre)

• Take the Métro (subway) at the Matabiau Railway Station towards "Basso-Cambo" (South),
• Stop at the end station "Basso-Cambo",
• Take bus number 8 towards "Lycée Polyvalent" and stop at "Météorologie".

The same ticket covers both subway and bus trips. Travel duration: about 30 minutes.

The price of the tickets is: 1way=1.4 Euro, round trip=2.5 euros, 10 rides = 11.70 Euros. Machines to buy tickets are installed in all the subway stations
